Sexual consent activist
Chanel Contos is an Australian student and sexual consent activist. Contos became known globally in 2021, following an outpouring of responses to her request for young Australian women to report on their sexual assault experiences. She is the founder of Teach Us Consent and chair of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership’s Youth Advisory Committee.

Jenny is a senior member of the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health, and Society at La Trobe University. Commissioned by the Department of Education and Training in 2012, she created “Catching On Early,” a primary school teaching resource. Passionate about promoting respectful relationships, Jenny focuses on age-appropriate education, addressing body autonomy, safety, and fostering positive expectations for ethical, mutual, consensual, and pleasurable sexual relationships.
